๐Ÿง™๐Ÿพ‍♀️Witchcraft Isn’t Just Spells: How Control Spirits Creep Into Churches๐Ÿ›️๐Ÿ‘€

 Hey fam! ✨

Whew… today’s post is not for the faint of heart ๐Ÿ˜…. We’re diving into something juicy, deep, and absolutely necessary. I’m talking about witchcraft—but not the broom-flying, potion-mixing, “double double toil and trouble” kind ๐Ÿงน๐Ÿ”ฎ.

Nope. I’m talking about the sneaky, slick, and subtle kind of witchcraft that slithers its way into pews, pulpits, prayer groups, and even praise teams. The kind that doesn’t look like witchcraft at all… but it is. ๐Ÿ˜ณ Let’s get into it, my loves. It’s time to wake up and reclaim our freedom in Christ. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’ฅ

๐ŸŽญ Witchcraft in Disguise: Not What You Think!

When I say witchcraft, what comes to your mind? Probably cauldrons, wands, dark forests and maybe that creepy neighbor who always has cats staring out of their window ๐Ÿˆ‍⬛๐ŸŒ‘.

But here’s the thing—witchcraft isn’t always theatrical or obvious. Sometimes it’s manipulation. Sometimes it’s control. Sometimes it’s domination disguised as “help”. Sometimes it's someone using their influence or position to override your free will—your God-given right to choose. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’ก

That right there ๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿพ… is witchcraft too.

In Galatians 3:1, Paul writes,

“Oh foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you…?”

Wait. Bewitched? ๐Ÿ˜ง Paul wasn’t talking about someone casting spells with wands. He was talking about influence that took them away from the truth of the Gospel.

Let that sink in for a second. Paul called religious deceptionbewitchment. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿงฟ

๐Ÿคฏ The Real Spirit Behind Control

Now, let’s make this crystal clear: The Holy Spirit leads. He doesn’t control.
๐Ÿ•Š️๐Ÿ’–
He guides, He teaches, He convicts—but never forces. The moment someone starts to push you into something using fear, guilt, manipulation, or shame, best believe something demonic is at play.

Control = demonic.

Manipulation = demonic.

Domination = demonic.

Even when it’s wearing a church hat or quoting scripture. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ‘’๐Ÿ“–

๐Ÿ’’ Control Spirits in Church: How They Show Up

You’d be surprised how common control spirits are in the Church. Let’s talk about some ways they sneak in, wearing holy perfume and shouting “Amen!” ๐ŸŽญ✝️

1. Prophets Who Demand Obedience

Ever met a “prophet” who gets offended if you don’t do exactly what they say?
“God told me you need to move cities.”
“God said you’re supposed to marry him.”
“God said you must give me your TV.” ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ˜…

Now, hear me: Yes, God speaks through prophets. But He will never override your will or speak to you ONLY through someone else. Real prophecy confirms what God is already whispering in your spirit. A prophet's job is to point you to God, not become your personal hotline to heaven. ๐Ÿ“ž✨

2. Leaders Who Use Guilt as a Weapon

“If you really loved Jesus, you’d serve every Sunday.”
“If you were truly faithful, you wouldn’t question me.”
“If you leave this ministry, God will curse you.” ๐Ÿ˜จ

That ain’t God, fam. That’s spiritual manipulation and control masquerading as “discipleship.” And honestly? It’s emotional abuse wrapped in scripture. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ”—

3. Peer Pressure in Church Circles

Control spirits don’t just work top-down. Sometimes it’s your “prayer partner” who pressures you into staying in a toxic relationship because “God hates divorce.” ๐Ÿ™„

Sometimes it’s the friend who always “feels led” to correct you but never to uplift you.

And sometimes it’s that inner circle in your youth group who will shun you if you stop dressing like them, talking like them, or agreeing with every single one of their hot takes.

That's not fellowship. That’s witchy peer pressure with a Bible app. ๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ“ฒ

๐ŸšจWhy This Matters: The Danger of Tolerating Control

Let’s be real. Control spirits don’t just steal your joy—they try to steal your purpose.

If the enemy can’t tempt you with sin, he’ll trap you in religion.

If he can’t seduce you, he’ll silence you.

If he can’t destroy you with external drama, he’ll control you through people you trust. ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ’”

But Jesus came to set the captives FREE! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ•Š️

“It is for FREEDOM that Christ has set us free.” – Galatians 5:1

Let’s not trade one prison (the world) for another prison (religion). Christ didn’t die for you to be micromanaged by somebody who thinks they’re your spiritual overlord. ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿฝ‍♀️๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿšซ

✋๐ŸพHow to Spot & Stop Control Spirits

Ready to kick witchy vibes to the curb? Here are some tips straight from the battlefield:

✅ 1. Know the Word for Yourself

Don’t just depend on your pastor, prophet, or fav Christian influencer. You gotta eat the Word yourself. ๐Ÿž๐Ÿ“–
The Word of God is your compass. If anything someone says contradicts it—even slightly—pause and pray.

✅ 2. Follow Peace, Not Pressure

Colossians 3:15 says to let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.
If someone’s leading you and you feel confusion, fear, or heaviness—it’s probably not God. ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿพ‍♀️

✅ 3. Ask the Holy Spirit for Discernment

Seriously. Every. Single. Day.
Pray: “Lord, show me what’s not from You. Expose control. Reveal truth. Amen.” ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’ก

✅ 4. Draw Boundaries

Yes, even in church. Especially in church.
You don’t owe anybody blind obedience. You owe God your worship. ๐ŸŽฏ๐Ÿ‘‘

๐ŸŒˆLet’s Break Free…Together!

Beloved, God is not a puppeteer ๐ŸŽญ. He’s a Father. A Friend. A Lover of our souls ๐Ÿ’ž.

He doesn’t want robots. He wants relationship. ๐ŸงŽ๐Ÿพ‍♀️๐Ÿ’ฌ๐Ÿ•Š️

Let’s be a generation that says NO to spiritual manipulation and YES to Spirit-led freedom. Let’s call out witchcraft when we see it, even when it’s dressed in robes and holding a mic ๐ŸŽค.

Let’s become a people so in love with truth, so grounded in the Word, and so filled with the Holy Ghost that no control spirit can ever find a home in our churches again. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ
